20 Swoon-worthy Valentine’s Day Crochet Patterns
Valentine’s Day is coming up and what better way to show your loved ones some appreciation than by making them a homemade Valentine’s Day crochet pattern! I feel like Valentine’s Day gets a bad rep. It’s always seems to be either cheesy for couples or depressing for single people. The actual Christian priest and martyr whom this day is named after was believed to have officiated multiple Christian weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry. He also is suggested to have cut hearts out of parchment for these soldiers to remind them of their vows and God’s love for them during war and persecution.
While that may still sound kind of cheesy, I firmly believe that we all need a little reminder to stop and appreciate those around us once in awhile, whether romantic, platonic, or otherwise. As an artist, I also believe that there is no greater gift than one that is handmade. There is something so special about not only knowing someone was thinking of you, but that they put time, labor, and love into something just for YOU. If that is something you want to give your loved ones this Valentine’s Day, then keep on scrolling!
